Triston S. Glynos, PT, DPT, OCS

Triston graduated from the accelerated physical therapy program at Boston University’s Sargent College with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2001. In 2016, after 15 years in clinical practice, Dr. Glynos returned to school and completed his Doctoral education at the EIM Institute for Health Professions, where he received an award for outstanding student contributions.
Triston has focused his career primarily on outpatient orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation, yet broadened his expertise by working in the acute and home-care settings. He founded Joint Motion, LLC, in 2006 and opened his doors to the public in February 2007. In 2008, Triston earned his board certification as a Specialist in Orthopedics from the state of NJ and the American Physical Therapy Association.
With less than 2% of the state’s physical therapists obtaining this certification, Triston joins an elite group of clinicians distinguished by their exceptional knowledge and experience treating patients with orthopedic conditions. Obtaining this additional certification demonstrates Triston’s commitment to helping his patients best resolve their physical limitations using the most current medical information and techniques available. Triston is a former high school wrestler, football player and collegiate Rugby player and currently coaches at the youth level with the Watchung Hills Wrestling Association. His knowledge, passion and expertise with these athletes allow him to better individualize his rehabilitation programs and provide injured athletes a better preparedness for return to the rigors of these physical sports.
In his spacious Scotch Plains practice, Triston uses advanced manual therapeutic techniques, a scientifically based therapeutic exercise approach, and his caring personality to provide treatments for most musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. He is a long-time member of the American Physical Therapy Association and also contributes to the local community by providing informative lectures on numerous topics, such as Fall Prevention, Sports Injury Prevention, Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis treatment, and Low Back Pain. Triston is native to the area being born in North Plainfield, and raised in Berkeley Heights. He lives locally with his wife, Tara, and their three children.
Marc Helders, PT, DPT, Cert. MDT, TPI Certified
Staff Physical Therapist
Dr. Marc Helders joined the Joint Motion PT staff in May of 2010. He is an expertly-trained, licensed physical therapist who treats patients with musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. With more than 10 years of experience in both outpatient and school based settings, he separates himself from his peers by possessing the expertise needed to treat both adult and pediatric patients. Dr. Helders received his Master’s of Physical Therapy from Stockton University in 2001 and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University in 2015. He is also an APTA Credentialed Clinical instructor which allows him to impart wisdom to students in accredited physical therapy programs. In 2013, Dr. Helders also obtained the prestigious MDT certification. This elite certification obtained from the McKenzie institute certifies that a physical therapist is adept in treating the spine and extremities using Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. Marc is competent in many advanced techniques including The McKenzie Method, The Maitland Approach, and Institute of Physical Art (IPA) techniques. He works tirelessly to cultivate his skills to better serve his patients. Dr. Helders is also our resident Golf rehab expert. He is a certified Level 2 Titleist professional, accredited by the distinguished Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) and completed the “Back to Golf” and the “Functional GolfLinks” programs. All three programs are widely regarded nationally and are designed to improve golfer’s strength, conditioning and performance.
John Beskal, PT, DPT
Staff Physical Therapist
Dr. John Beskal received his Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Quinnipiac University in 2007 and received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Scranton in 2010. Since completing graduate school, Dr. Beskal has worked primarily as a physical therapist in an outpatient setting. His focus has been on treating orthopedic conditions of the extremities and spine.
Dr. Beskal has taken numerous courses in the Maitland, Mulligan, and McKenzie concepts to continue to improve his skills and better help his patients. John emphasizes a balanced combination of manual therapy techniques and customized exercise programs to help patients achieve their goals and return to their prior level of function. Being a tri-athlete and marathoner, John is able to utilize his personal experiences to provide a unique perspective when treating injured athletes, especially when they relate to endurance sports.
Dr. Beskal’s passion for Physical Therapy started through his interest in athletics, while trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle. He then furthered his interest through a variety of volunteer opportunities and community wellness programs to help people understand the importance of exercise and taking care of their bodies. John’s passion for outdoor activities and sports drives him to help others return to their active lifestyles.
